The cosmic arrives in Greendale due to the existence of two Sabrinas at the same time, Spellman and Morningstar. It’s appearance creates a duplicate cosmos that is on a collision course with the original.

The start of The Cosmic’s arrival

The arrival of The Cosmic begins with stalagmites piercing through the floor of Baxter high. This is followed by Lizzie and Billy being transported to Hell. Sabrina Morningstar then wipes their memories and sends them back. After this, a statue from Hell appears at the Spellman Mortuary, discovered by Sabrina Spellman. At the same time, the Greendale Sign appears in hell, surprising the Morningstars. Initially, no one thought it was one of the Eldritch terrors. However, after two more statues appear, Sabrina Spellman and Ambrose meet with mambo Marie where they discover the Infernal realm and the Mortal realm are pushing together. Ambrose tells them its the result of two Sabrinas existing at the same time. The two realms are pushing together in order to crush one or both Sabrinas.

At first, a plan is hatched to get the two realms to push each other away after realizing that killing one of the Sabrinas wasn’t going to work. This would be done by reversing the magnetic polarity of both realms. However, the two realms are too conjoined for it to work without destroying one or both the realms.

After stopping the invocation, it begins to rain pearls. This reveals that the celestial realm is also falling on top of the mortal realm. Shortly after, metatron, an angel from heaven arrives to propose a solution. One of the two Sabrinas must die or be merged with the other. The two agree to be merged. As the process is begun by Metatron, Ambrose interrupts with the news that three more realms are approaching. Everyone realizes that The Cosmic had come to Greendale upon hearing this news.

Sending Sabrina Morningstar to the second cosmos

A second cosmos had been created due to there being two Sabrinas. In order to fix it, one had to be sent to the second earth. To decide which one goes, Spellman and Morningstar play Rock, Paper, Scissors. Morningstar loses and therefore must be sent to the second earth. She asks Ambrose what it would be like who responds with the information that it would be very similar, if not identical to their own. A portal is opened in a mirror and Morningstar goes through, reversing what The Cosmic had done.

• The Eldritch Terrors tracable to H. P. Lovecraft where heavily influnced by other writers such as Edgar Allan Poe
• The name 'Eldritch Terrors was inspired by the name Eldritch Horrors in H. P. Lovecrafts works.
• After the death of H. P Lovecraft, other writers took his ideas, such as August Derleth, and expanded the lore H. P. Lovecraft has left behind.
