Vampires are supernatural creatures that are known for having fangs and pale skin. They possess the ability to compel others and mostly use this to make their prey come willingly. These supernatural creatures eat/drink blood of living creatures, primarily that of humans. This is how they stay 'alive'. While they can consume the blood of various different humanoid creatures, the blood of some they cannot consume. For example, the celestial blood of Sabrina Spellman hurt the vampire Vlad the Impaler quite a bit.
Known vampires
Vlad the Impaler is the only known vampire in our history. He sleeps in a crypt in the Field of Blood. When Vlad the Impaler was first found in his crypt, he was just a skeleton. But once the founder, Sabrina Spellman, took the silver out of the crypt and counted it to make sure it were 30 pieves, Vlad the Impaler rose from his crypt. Not as a skeleton, but as a vampire from flesh, bones and full of blood. During Sabrina Spellman's first encounter with Vlad, he tried to drink her blood. Once he did, he started to burn because of her celestial blood.
Vlad the Impaler has, from tha tmoment on, more encounters with Sabrina Spellman. First at the Pandemonium, where he, King Herod and Centurion attacked her. He also tells her that Hell was invaded by an Archangel named Michael.
Eventually Vlad the Impaler, Centurion and King Herod decide to help Sabrina to defeat the pagan witches. They send her and her cousin, Ambrose Spellman back in time, by smelting down the Unholy Regalia. This way Sabrina could go back in time and stop the pagans.
Powers
Vampires possess several abilities and weaknesses. First of all, they have fangs and have the ability to charm their prey (may it be human or something else). They are naturally attractive looking and drink blood of living creatures. To top it off, they are supernaturally strong, are immune to the magical abilities of witches and are immortal.
Of course, like vampires in all sorts of lore, they also have weaknesses. Celestial blood can burn them and they have a strong dislike of the smell of garlic. The only way to effectively kill them is by driving a wooden stake through their hearts.
Fun Facts
- Vlad the Impaler was heavily inspired by the original Vlad III.
- There's no indication or reason to believe these vampires are vulnurable to the sun.
- Blood of other beings than just angels might also be dangerous to vampires.
