Father Faustus Blackwood. That is what many people call him. He was the widower of Constance Blackwood. He was also married to Zelda Spellman. And he is the father of three children, Judas, Judith and Prudence Blackwood. Besides being a family man he also was the former High Priest of the Church of Night. But he fled when he refused the order of the Dark Lord to bow down to Sabrina Spellman. He even poisoned the entire coven.
After Faustus left, he devoted himself to the Eldritch Terrors. He desired power and revenge and he thought he could get it that way. He summoned the Old Ones and with that he brought the beginning of the end. During this time, Faustus Blackwood (or rather Father Lovecraft) carried the Cain’s mark and thus couldn’t be killed. Even when Prudence, his daughter, tried and tortured him for information he did not stop. When he got away from Prudence he lured Sabrina Spellman to the Mountains of Madness, the place where the Void was. Later, Faustus got trapped by Prudence again. He still couldn’t be killed, so she cut him into pieces and scattered his limbs so that he never could do any harm again.
Early life
Faustus was a warlock, old-fashioned warlock to be precise, and an evil mentor of Edward Spellman. Eventually Edward surpassed Faustus and became the High Priest of the Church of Night. Once Edward died, Faustus took over his role as High Priest. He brought back some practices, which could be considered barbaric and which they didn’t practice when Edward was still the High Priest. One example of these practices is the Feast of Feasts.
Faustus wanted children and tried it for years with his first wife Constance. She sadly miscarried two. Eventually he got an illegitimate child. He even offered to raise Sabrina Spellman, but Zelda declined his offer.
Personality & Appearance
Faustus Blackwood is a warlock. He is tall and has tattoos on his chest and upper back. His eyes are green and his hair black. He often wears black clothes and uses a walking stick a lot. This walking stick has a head of a rabbit carved on the handle on top.
Faustus is a traditionalist. He has a strong satanic faith and a narrow-minded policy. This is all based by the book rules and traditions. Faustus is besides this also a master manipulator. He knows exactly what to do to deceive and seduce young witches. Atleast he thinks he is a master at it. Madam Satan thinks otherwise. Faustus is also a reckless warlock.
Powers & Abilities
Since Faustus Blackwood is a warlock and former High Priest, he has witchcraft. Though he was seen as the best conjurer of the Church of Night in the past as well. Faustus is also great at mystic arts. He is also capable of telekinesis, can summon beings and objects from other places and he can banish demons of high ranks. This is still not all. He is also an expert on enchantments. When Faustus got the Mark of Cain he became an unkillable, indestructible warlock.
