The Dark Lord: Lucifer Morningstar

A long time ago, an Angel was cast down from heaven to earth and made to walk around the wilderness in scorching heat with two great wounds upon his back.

This Angel was Lucifer Morningstar and he became more than a fallen archangel, he went on to become one of the most feared beings in the world and known by several different names, Lucifer, the devil, King of hell and the Dark Lord.

But who exactly is the Dark Lord and what made him so feared?

How he became the Dark Lord

Lucifer Morningstar was an Archangel in heaven and due to a disagreement with the big man himself, God, Lucifer was punished and had his wings cut off and was cast down from heaven to walk alone in the world.

Wandering around Lucifer was found by Lilith, one of the first women and she attended to the wounds on Lucifer's back and helped him to heal. In return for her devotion and love, Lucifer granted Lilith with powers and immortality and she became one of the first witches.

Not wanting to stop there, Lucifer started offering power and long life to others in exchange for their soul and devotion to him. Eventually taking over hell and becoming its king and this is where he and Lilith controlled demons.

Soon enough, Lucifer gathered many, many followers who all showed devotion to him and gave their souls in exchange for the power he granted them. This is how he became The Dark Lord.

Unfortunately for the Dark Lord his beautiful angelic form started to change when he became power hungry and he started to turn into a humanoid goat figure.

Powers of the Dark Lord

The Dark Lord has many powers, some known and others not.

What we do know is that he had all the powers that witches have but he also had a few other powers such as telekinesis, aerokinesis, pyrokinesis, glamor and possession.

He is also not mortal and has immortality meaning he cannot die naturally or with normal things that would seriously harm a mortal.

Not only does he have a load of demons at his disposal but he also has a horde of demons he can call upon and control.

Satanic Witches

Satanic witches are those that worship the Dark Lord and have gotten their power from him by signing over their souls to him. They are granted with amazing powers and a long life.

In order for young witches and warlocks to unlock their powers they must go through something called their Dark Baptism. This usually occurs around their 16th Birthday when the next full moon is in the sky. The ceremony will be performed by the high priest/priestess and the members of the coven will be present to witness the signing of the book of the beast. This is done by the young witches signing an old totem in their own blood and pledging themselves to the Dark Lord. It is one of the most important parts of their life and they will become recognised members of the Church of Night.

Not only do witches and warlocks have a dark baptism but there are a few other traditions and celebrations that happen within the witch community such as the feast of feasts, Lupercalia, Hare Moon and the winter solstice. There are also things such as a black wedding, this is when a witch and warlock get married to one another.

There are a lot of advantages from getting granted your powers and the long life but these witches can be called upon at any time by the Dark Lord and can be asked to do unspeakable acts which they cannot refuse, if they do, then they risk having their powers withdrawn and they will start to rot and wither away as aging will come back.

Weaknesses

The weaknesses of the dark lord are pretty minimal and it makes for a hard time if one were to go against the beliefs of him or try to defeat him.

There are few things that can be done to stop him, but it is possible to kill him by using the Spear of Longinus. He can also be contained by Damascus steel and the daggers of Mediggo can hurt him.

Perhaps one of the most strangest things that can slightly repel the Dark Lord are onions and horseshoes.
