Darren Mann: Hockey Star to Screen Star

Darren Mann gave a great performance playing Luke Chalfant in the Chilling Adventures of Sabrina. That is not the only series/movie he has been great in and one performance even got him an award.

Who is Darren Mann?

Darren Mann is a Canadian actor who was born May 4th 1989 which makes him currently thirty five years old. He was born in Vancouver in Canada and has been acting since he was only eight years old.

He is not the only member of his household that acts as his mother is also an actress and he took a lot of inspiration for his own career from her.

Initially though, Darren was very much into hockey and became a junior star before making it as a professional hockey player. Unfortunately though he sustained a few injuries along the way and they forced him to retire, which made him turn to acting again.

Acting Career

As mentioned Darren has been acting since he was around eight years old and landed roles on stage and then later on in life in television.

He appeared in a fair few television series such as The Tomorrow people, iZombie, Supernatural, Animal Kingdom, Van Helsing and of course the Chilling Adventures of Sabrina.

Darren Mann has also worked on a few films like Even Lambs have Teeth, Hello Destroyer, Breakwater, Embattled, The Minute you Wake up Dead and perhaps one of his most successful films he was in was Giant Little Ones. He won the Leo Award for his performance in this one.

Darren started playing Luke Chalfant in 2018 and was in the series for one year and finished his part in 2019. He appeared in nine episodes in total and really gave an awesome performance.

In the series Luke Chalfant is a warlock of the Church of Night and was romantically involved with Ambrose Spellman. He was known to hold the Church of Night values such as the Top Boy at the academy should be a male and not a female.

This did cause some conflict between the two lovers as Sabrina obviously did not hold the same values as the Church of Night and Ambrose would perhaps find himself stuck between his lover's morales and that of his cousin Sabrina.

Luke upheld the values of the Church of Night so well that he was eventually made part of the Judas Society which Father Blackwood made. This was made to keep everyone in check and enforce the rules of the Church of Night and of course whatever rules Father Blackwood deemed important.

During his time serving in the Judas society, Luke unfortunately met a gruesome end at the hands of the angel witch hunters

Where is he today?

Darren Mann is still working away on his acting career and currently finished up the series 1923 and is working on a crime drama ‘On the Eighth Day’.
