One could say it all started when we decided to investigate a long abandoned house at the edge of Greendale, near the Mines, that one afternoon. But did it really?
There were the odd eggs before that, which had the entire town in a frenzy. The monstrous rabbit and, of course, that Halloween incident no one thought was going to be as harmful as it was. To this day, I still can't look at pumpkins the same way.
Yet, even throughout all of that, I never once thought of turning my search for the truth into something I could profit from. That was, until we saw others do it and figured, why not? What's there for us to lose? Never in a million years, did I think we'd make it this far. To the point where we could possibly live off doing these types of investigations for a living. Without having to work a side-job.
Yet when faced with the question how it all started, I'm still unsure. Our first investigation however, without cameras there, obviously, was of that one house. A house that still stands there, 'till this day. A house I wouldn't recommend anyone going into as it will result in disaster.
Perhaps we should, in fact, return there, one day. Confront what lives there and once and for all, figure out what it was. Because up until this point, I still don't know what it possibly could've been.
I mean, what kind of creature lives in an abandoned building, filled with dust and rubble, and is humanoid enough to produce proper footsteps? Clearly one that leaves scratch marks on the ceiling and is intelligent enough to try and lock people in. Honestly, who knows what would've happened to us if we remained there any longer than we did.
Ten years is how long it's been since that day. Crazy to think just how far we've come and how much further we're going to go.
Oh right, before I forget. My name's Hwan Bin and together with my best friend, Cecil Akigawa, I investigate paranormal phenomenon. Sounds dangerous? Yeah, sometimes it can be. But that's the risk of the job. Any job, really. Not that much more dangerous than living in Greendale, I can guarantee you that much at the very least.
We run a YouTube channel called Project Unsolved where we show people a glimpse into what we do. It started out as a hobby, but it's reached the point where we may just as well turn it into a living.
I'll leave you with this for now. I'm sure I'll be writing again soon, for there's plenty of adventures to be covered.
