Ingredients:

➸ 1 tablespoon olive oil

➸ 2 smoked streaky bacon

➸ 1 onion, chopped

➸ 1 celery stick, chopped

➸ 1 carrot, grated

➸ 2 garlic cloves, chopped

➸ 500g beef mince

➸ 1 tablespoon tomato purée

➸ 2 x 400g cans chopped tomatoes

➸ 1 tablespoon clear honey

➸ 500g pack fresh egg lasagne sheets

➸ 400ml créme fraíche

➸ 125g ball mozzarella, roughly torn

➸ 50g freshly grated parmesan

Instructions:

Put the oil in a pan and heat it up. Cut the bacon into small pieces and add it to the pan. Cook the bacon until it has got some color. Add the onion, celery and carrot and cook over medium heat until softened.

Add the garlic and beef. Break the beef so that it’s no bigger lumps in there.

When the beef has got more color, stir in the tomato purée and let it cook for one minute so that it’s well combined with the beef and vegetables. Add the chopped tomatoes. Fill the empty cans with some water and add it to the mixture. Add the honey and some more season to taste it up. Let it cook for about 20 minutes.

Heat the oven to 200C.

It’s time to assemble the lasagne! Put a little amount of ragu sauce in the bottom of the form, place 2 sheets of lasagne on top of the sauce and repeat this. Finish with one layer of pasta sheets!

Put the créme fraíche in a bowl and mix it together with little water so that it’s more loose in consistency. Pour this over the pasta and top with some mozzarella and parmesan.

Bake it for 25-30 minutes!

We hope that you're gonna test this recipe and don't forget to tell us what you thought about it! That's all for this time, but don't forget to check back in next week for a new recipe!
