The Church of Night is the coven of witches and warlocks that has served as the spiritual centre of Greendale's magical community for centuries. Devoted to the Dark Lord, the Church follows the Path of Night — a strict code of worship, ritual, and magical practice.
Hierarchy and Structure
The Church is led by a High Priest or Priestess who serves as both spiritual leader and judge. Below them, a council of elders governs coven affairs. Witches and warlocks sign the Book of the Beast upon their dark baptism, pledging loyalty to the Dark Lord and the coven.
Rituals and Traditions
The Church of Night observes numerous dark holidays and rituals: the Feast of Feasts, Lupercalia, the solstices, and the dark baptism that marks every witch's coming of age. These ceremonies blend pagan tradition with infernal worship, creating a rich ritualistic culture.
